Le Café du Coin wears its name well. It has that real neighborhood bistrot feel that Florent Ciccoli and Greg Back have mastered over the years. You can stop in at 8am for a great coffee, stay until lunch time and enjoy the daily-changing menu, and start all over again at apéro time. But let’s be honest, it is so much more than a neighborhood bistrot. It’s the kind of place that you want to keep for yourself.

It is important to know that at Le Café du Coin, you have to order all of the appetizers, because they are absolutely delicious, vibrant and heart-warming. We opted for the pizzetta with it’s fluffy dough and warm and generous toppings, including smoked mozzarella, porcini mushrooms, garlic and chives, and the stuffed squid delicately dotted with mustard seeds. The main courses are just as exciting. We recently devoured the killer quail with potato purée, pasta al ragout, and a pearly-white cod fish with just the right amount of pucker. For dessert, you can expect decadent tarts and chocolate ganaches. Florent Ciccoli cooks just the way we like it, as if he were cooking at home, cooking just for us, with a sort of neighborly grace. And the best thing about it is that the prices are low, the wines ever so lively and the spirit adorable. All is said.
